Dedicated Server FAQs

What is the turnaround time for new server orders?

New servers are processed immediately after payment is confirmed, generally Typical server setup times are from few hours upto 24-48 hours depending on the amount of orders in queue. All servers are set up individually, tested by our system administrators, and checked for all service functionality prior to sending your welcome letter with server access information.

Is there a minimum time contract/commitment?

All servers are carried on a month to month contract (unless if a longer contract period like 3 month, 6 Months or 12 months is selected during the ordering process) Server cancellations must be made 30 days prior to the next renewal date of invoicing.

Will I have full root access to my dedicated server/ VPS Server?

Full Root access is granted for all dedicated server accessible via SSH client on default Port unless requested for change in SSH access settings for security tightening. The root password must be kept on file with support especially for all managed Dedicated servers and VPS at all times to ensure there are no delays if any issues arise on the server that require attention and so that routine maintenance, such as kernel updates, or OS patching can be performed.

In the case of hardware failure, replacement included for dedicated servers?

While we extensively test our hardware and only use the highest quality equipment, all hardware at some point in time will eventually fail and Hardware that is faulty or fails through over period of time will be certainly replaced at absolutely no charge within few hours to same day of intimation by opening Support ticket. Due to the inherent risk to your data from hardware, OS, application and/or other user errors, We strongly recommends backing up your data regularly, If you wanted to order Cloud backup you may contact sales@systron.net .

How many IP addresses come with my dedicated server?

One dedicated IP addresses is provided with each dedicated server. Additional 3 IP addresses can be provided upon request. [Note: Justification for these IP addresses must be in compliance with ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers) guidelines]. What’s the main difference between dedicated, VPS and shared hosting?

With dedicated server hosting, you are the sole user of your private server hardware and bandwidth. A dedicated server is more powerful and secure than a VPS. With a dedicated server, you have dedicated computing resources, storage and bandwidth. With Shared hosting and VPS (including Public Cloud, VPS, Shared Web Hosting), the available compute resources, bandwidth and storage capacity are shared with other tenants.

What is the billing cycle for Email Services?

We offer monthly, Quarterly and yearly packages on Email Hosting accounts, so billing will be accordingly.

Which email clients can I use to read my emails?

You can access your email with any software that allows you to connect to an IMAP4 or POP3 mail server which includes (but not limited to):

Microsoft Outlook and Windows Live Mail
Apple Mail
Thunderbird
Opera Mail etc..,

Our Webmail client can be accessed easily from anywhere. All you need is a compatible web browser and an internet connection.

Can I purchase email if my domain name is with another registrar?

Yes. You’ll just need to make a couple of changes to your DNS settings (MX recod and an A record), which your current registrar should be able to help you with. You also have the option of either changing nameservers to ours or transferring your domain to us.

Which devices can I use to read my emails?

Email Hosting is designed to give you flexibility. You can access your account from a range of devices, from desktop to mobile and tablet. You can also access the account from anywhere in the world, provided you have an internet connection.

What will the size of each Mailbox ?

Your each mailbox shall have 5GB of storage space, you can order multiple of 5 GB additional space If you need larger size for your mailbox.

How many ID`s accounts can I order?

You can order minimum 1 Email account and maximum upto 1000 Mail ID`s with each domain name.

How do I enable mod_rewrite?

The mod_rewrite module is enabled by default in Apache that comes with Plesk for Linux. To make use of the functionality, you will need to create an .htaccess file containing the desired rewrite rules – refer to the Apache documentation for more information.
On Windows, similar results can be achieved using the IIS URL Rewrite functionality. To enable this functionality, place the desired rewrite rules in a web.config file in your website’s document root directory. Refer to the IIS documentation for more information.

How do I change the PHP version?

Go to the Websites & Domains tab, click Hosting Settings, select the PHP support checkbox and select the desired PHP version from the PHP version menu.
Note that you can do this only if your subscription is granted the permission to manage hosting settings. If you are unable to follow these instructions, contact your provider.

How do I enable the IonCube loader?

PHP shipped with Plesk comes with the IonCube loader pre-installed and pre-enabled, both on Linux and Windows.

How do I disable PHP safe_mode?

Go to the Websites & Domains tab, click PHP Settings and set the safe_mode option to off. PHP safe_mode is deprecated in PHP 5.4 and later versions.
Note that you can do this only if your subscription is granted the permission to manage hosting settings. If you are unable to follow these instructions, contact your provider.

How do I enable SOAP support?

PHP shipped with Plesk for Linux comes with the SOAP extension pre-enabled. SOAP is disabled in PHP shipped with Plesk for Windows by default but it can be enabled by the provider.

How do I enable PDO support?

PHP shipped with Plesk comes with the PDO extension pre-enabled, both on Linux and Windows.
