What Is SSD VPS Hosting?

SSD VPS hosting combines virtual-private-server isolation with solid-state storage. Compared with older HDD-based VPS platforms, SSD storage provides much faster access to application files, databases and operating-system data because it does not rely on mechanical disks.

Systron's current VPS portfolio includes standard SSD-based self-managed plans and higher-capacity NVMe-based managed plans. NVMe is also solid-state storage, but uses a newer interface designed for lower latency and higher parallel I/O.

Why KVM Matters for VPS Hosting

KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) provides hardware-assisted virtualization that allows each VPS to run as an isolated virtual machine with its own operating environment and allocated resources.

KVM is separate from the storage type: a KVM VPS can use SSD or NVMe storage. Management level is also separate — the server can be managed by Systron or self-managed by the customer.

What is SSD VPS hosting?

SSD VPS hosting is a virtual private server that stores its operating system and data on solid-state drives rather than mechanical HDDs. SSD storage generally provides lower disk latency and faster random I/O.
